Think, for example, of information that you provide us with when sending a form or requesting a demo via one of our landing pages, or information that we collect when using our (mobile) websites or other services. We collect this data so we can provide you with free information (eGuides, Case studies etc.) and to determine which products and / or services you are interested in.

The supply of personal data is not required
You are not obliged to disclose your personal data when you purchase a product or service from us, make an application, or download a document. You have the choice at all times whether you want to enter your personal data or not. However, to be able to use some of our services, it is necessary to enter personal data.
When is providing of data necessary?
If you want to register as a new customer, we need your data to invoice you. If you want to receive a newsletter or a document, we need at least a working e-mail address. If you are asked to enter your details, then we tell you which data is necessary to be able to use the service (and therefore have to be filled in), the other data is therefore optional.
Types of data
When offering products and services we can process (personal) data from newsletter readers, users that download documents and / or make a request via our website and from visitors / users of our (mobile) website (s) and other services, such as online promotions, events and promotions, competitions and loyalty programs etc. For each service it differs, and therefore which (personal) data we can process.
Roughly there are four ways in which we can (collect) (personal) data:
- Purchase / delivery of products (for example by registration or registration as a customer): in this case the personal data that you have provided to us is processed; such as name, address and place of residence (for the purpose of delivery), financial details such as your bank account number (for the purpose of payment), and the knowledge that you have made use of that specific product / service (and therefore apparently expresses your interest);
- Applying for products / services through our (mobile) websites and apps (for example requesting an e-mail newsletter or a document): this processes information that you have provided to us via the website; such as your e-mail address;
- Use of our (mobile) websites: this includes information about your use of these (mobile) websites, such as the pages you have visited;
- When asking a question via our (mobile) websites. Information that we can collect; your name, company name, IP address, email and pages you have visited.
This data thus differs from personal data, such as name and e-mail address (data on the basis of which you can be directly identified), to information which, although it relates to you, can not be identified directly or indirectly. This privacy and cookie policy supervises the way we handle all of this data.
The above is a summary of the data that we could collect. This does not mean, however, that we actually request and store them everywhere. For example, it may be that one service needs your e-mail address while another does not use your e-mail address, but perhaps your location. With regard to a number of types of data, a more detailed explanation is given below (data collected on the basis of cookies and location data).
Combining data
When you complete a registration form on one of our websites, we can add the information you have entered to the cookie with which we measure your use of our online services and website. This data gives us insight into the interest you have in our services. Based on this information we can enrich your profile with an interest score. Your profile can also be (semi-) manually enriched with data from third parties such as LinkedIn. This involves public data from your online profile. This data is visible to everyone, including people outside your network.
Right to be forgotten and objection
In principle, we will always honor your request to be forgotten, with a few exceptions. When it comes to information that is necessary to, for example, provide a service to you, or that we have to keep for tax reasons, we can not always honor your entire request. In that case, we will only delete part of the collected data. If, for example, it concerns online data (such as information stored in a cookie), you can alter your cookie settings to choose not to accept cookies that are used to keep track of your ‘interests’. In that case no information about your use of our online services will be processed and therefore no information can be exchanged between us and third parties. Purpose processing
We collect and process personal data for the following purposes, including the (mobile) websites operated by us:
- for the realization and execution of an agreement concluded with you;
- to provide you with the agreed services and/or offer information, deliver and adapt it to your needs and wishes;
- to give you the opportunity to post and exchange information on one of the websites or, if the website offers the possibility to contact other users;
- if it concerns a paid service, to invoice. We never publish financial information on a website, nor are we made available to third parties for purposes other than the execution of the agreement. When no payment is made for our products or services, we can for example place the claim in the hands of third parties, such as a debt collection agency;
- to make targeted offers, eg via e-mail. It is also possible, for example, to display an advertisement of a product on a website or in an app of which we suspect your interest on the basis of data processed by us. In the context of the optimization of making offers we can draw up a profile of you;
- to send you a newsletter, offer, user information, service message or other electronic message;
- to analyze, maintain, optimize and secure our (mobile) websites and associated technologies and to prevent fraud;
- to comply with the laws and regulations that apply to us and to handle disputes and have auditors (audit) carried out;
- to conduct market research and to prepare management information for product and service development and for determining the (general) strategy;
- to measure the commercial use of our website, we use the Leadinfo service from Rotterdam. This service shows us company names and addresses based on the IP addresses of our visitors. The IP address is not recorded.
In this case, not all data is always processed for the same purposes. For example, some data is only kept for billing purposes or for the purpose of providing the requested service, while other data can be used for analyzing and improving the use of our websites and or to make a targeted offer.
In principle, we keep your personal data for as long as necessary for the above purposes, or to comply with statutory (storage) obligations.
Information third parties
Relayter does not sell customer data to third parties. Information is in some cases passed on to other parties in order to provide a better service. The following third parties have access to a part of our data:
- Google Analytics – no identifiable customer data
- Email program Mailchimp – email addresses for email messages such as newsletters and product promotion
- Daylite CRM / Agile CRM / Active Campaign – NWA data, email address, purchase data, behavioural data (page visits, interests, clicks etc.)
- Google Adwords: Data for the measurement of conversions and the composition of interest target groups. This data is collected anonymously.
Cookies
Cookies are simple small text files that are stored on the hard disk or in the memory of your computer / mobile / tablet. Cookies cannot damage your computer or the files on it. Both we, advertisers and intermediaries can use cookies on our websites. Below is an overview of the cookies that we can use ourselves. On the basis of cookies you can be recognized on our website (s) if you visit it again. We use cookies for example to:
- keep track of the products you have in your shopping cart, or to record the preferences you have set for a certain service or web page;
- for statistical purposes. In order to be able to see how often a website is visited, via which website (s) visitors end up on our website (s), and which pages are visited on a website;
- To better tailor ads on the websites you visit to your needs and interests. To avoid seeing a particular ad too often and to record how often an ad is shown.
We make use of session cookies and unique-id cookies (short and long life).
Session cookies: these are automatically deleted when you close your internet browser. Based on this we can, for example, keep track of which advertisements you have seen on our websites within one session, and thus prevent you from seeing certain advertisements within a session several times.
Unique-id cookies (long life): these are used to recognize an internet user as a unique visitor. This cookie has a lifetime of one year on most of our websites, which means that it automatically disappears if you have not visited any of our websites for more than one year. This is particularly important for statistical purposes: for example, we can see over a longer period of time how many individual visitors have visited a website.
Unique-id cookies (temporary): these temporary cookies record your surfing behaviour on our websites for a maximum of ninety days. When you contact one of our websites for the ninety-first day, the data from day one disappears from the cookie. The information obtained through these cookies is automatically deleted 180 days after your last visit.
If you have disabled cookies through your browser settings, there is a chance that certain functions will not work or that you will not be able to use certain services. In any case, you will see the cookie information bar on every page since our websites cannot save (in a cookie) the fact that you have visited the website before, and possibly even made a choice between accepting cookies or not. For more information about browser specific settings, please refer to the developer of your browser.
Our advertisers also place “tracking cookies” on your computer. They use these cookies to keep track of which pages you visit and / or you have completed a certain action after clicking on an advertisement, in order to build up a profile of your online behavior. This profile is partly built based on similar information they receive from your visit to other websites on which they advertise. This profile is not linked to your name, address, email address and so on, known by us, but only to match ads to your profile so that they are as relevant to you as possible.
Some tracking cookies are placed by third parties that show advertisements to you through our website. These cookies can be removed centrally via Your Online Choices so that they are not replaced to a third-party website.
Through our website, a cookie is placed from the U.S. company Google, as part of the ‘Analytics’ service. We use this service to keep track of and get reports on how visitors use the website. Google may also transfer this information to third parties if Google is legally required to do so, or if third parties process the information on Google’s behalf. We do not have any influence on this. If you want to unsubscribe, download and install the Google add-on for your current web browser.
The information that Google collects is made anonymous as much as possible. We emphasize that your IP address is not shared. The information is transferred to and stored on servers in the United States by Google.
You have the right to ask for access to and correction or deletion of your data. Please refer to our contact page. To prevent abuse, we may ask you to identify yourself appropriately. When it comes to access to personal data linked to a cookie, you must send a copy of the cookie in question. Cookies can only be deleted by you, as they are stored on your computer. Please consult the manual of your browser for more information.

Social widgets
Some pages of our website may include buttons to promote web pages (“like”) or share (“tweet”) on social networks such as Facebook and Twitter. These buttons work through pieces of code that originate from Facebook or Twitter itself, or from intermediary parties such as AddThis. This code is used to place cookies. We do not have any influence on this. Please read the privacy statement of AddThis, Facebook , Twitter, Google, LinkedIn and any other used social services (which can change regularly) to read what they do with your (personal) data that they process via these cookies.
The information they collect is made anonymous as much as possible. The information is transferred to and stored on servers in the United States by Google. LinkedIn, Twitter, Facebook and Google + adhere to the Safe Harbor principles and are affiliated with the Safe Harbor program of the US Department of Commerce. This means that there is an adequate protection level for the processing of any personal data.
Security
We maintain a security level at all times in the processing of personal data which, taking into account the state of the art, is sufficient to prevent unauthorized access to, adaptation, disclosure or loss of personal data. Think of both technical and organizational measures (such as encryption of data, access control to our locations, and limited groups of employees who have access to the data, etc.).

Resistance, inspection, change and removal of personal data
We believe it is important to be transparent about the way we handle your personal data. With this privacy and cookie policy we try to offer you clarity and transparency. Do you want to know what personal data we have collected about you? Do you want to change data (or have it changed) or have it deleted in accordance with the applicable regulations? Then you can send an e-mail to info@relayter.com (or see further contact details under ‘Contact’). You can also state that you no longer wish to submit your personal data to third parties, combining your personal data into a profile, or using your data to make targeted offers, or to receive information or offers by e-mail or mail.
Do you have questions about your data? Send an e-mail to info@relayter.com stating “inspection / modification / deletion of data” (or see further contact details under ‘Contact’).
In any case, please include your full name, address and place of residence in the message, attach a copy of an identification document so that we know for certain that the information you request is actually related to you, and is therefore sent to the right person (make sure it is stated on the copy of your identification document that you are sending it to us, and make your citizen service number and any photo unrecognizable). If we cannot partly or fully determine which personal data your request for access is for, or change or deletion relates to, we may ask you to further specify your request. We suspend the execution of your request until you have provided us with the (further) details. We will always send you a confirmation message after completing your request.
As soon as possible after receiving your request we will inform you if and how, and if not why not, we grant your request. On average, the settlement of a request takes 14 days. If we need more time to process your request we will inform you as soon as possible.
We will charge you an amount of € 10 per request. This amount must be paid before we continue to process your application.
Why is a request denied?
Not every request for modification or removal will be honoured. A request that relates to personal data that does not (only) relate to you will be refused. The Personal Data Protection Act also stipulates that you have the right to (re) correct factual inaccuracies. A request to amend data that shows that the data was factually not incorrect, or does not show that the requested change makes the data factually accurate, will therefore not be honoured. We will not fully honour every request for deletion of data. In some cases, we are required by law to retain certain data (tax legislation). In that case, we will only delete part of the collected data. If, for example, it concerns online data (such as information stored in a cookie), you can use your cookie settings to choose not to accept cookies that are used to keep track of your ‘interests’. In that case no information about your use of our online services will be processed, and therefore no information can be exchanged between us and third parties.
Change of privacy and cookie policy
This privacy and cookie policy can be changed. Check this page regularly to see if changes have been made. If we make substantial changes we will provide a more prominent notification, for example via our newsletter.
